Dr. Brian K. Bauknight Coordinator of Leadership Development Western PA Conference, UMC has developed a website dedicated to Support, resources and ideas for: Clergy groups, Lay leadership, Clusters of churches, One-on-one coaching, Districts, Annual Conferences, and Pastors’ schools.
As stated in Eph 4:12 "...to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ..."
As a guide for personal reflection, this journal urges Christians to consider the dimensions of justice, compassion, and works of piety in their own spiritual lives, which can then be translated into acts of ministry in the world.
Dr. Mark Hicks, Executive Director of the North Carolina based Disciple Bible Outreach Ministries, was invited by Bishop Jorge Bravo to accompany a team from the General Board of Higher Education and Ministry to Peru.
In recent years, many of us ignored the wisdom of the past when it came to managing and spending our money. Credit card debt soared, savings rates plummeted, and our home equity became something to be tapped into and spent rather than a source of security in retirement. We felt an insatiable desire for more. And we found ourselves spending tomorrow’s money today in order to have what we hoped would satisfy. The result of all of this was not greater happiness and satisfaction, but greater stress and anxiety.
